#13264 Because people seem to be arguing about course difficulty I feel as though I will throw in my 2 cents. First of all I am a psychology major. Why? Not because it is easy, but because it is what I love. I am planning on going to graduate school and doing research in a field I actually enjoy. So what if my friends poke fun for it being a simpler major. I can attest to the fact that engineering was far more difficult for me because I CODOed after 2 years. I am awful with all that technical jargon, but ask me to come up with a research design and I'm your man. We shouldn't be arguing over what is difficult or not because nobody likes hearing people say what they are doing is easy. Just getting into a university as great as Purdue should be enough for us to realize we are all intelligent people. Some people aren't here for the money upon graduation, some aren't even here to gain knowledge or experience. But we are all going through this together, lets act like it. Boiler Up!

#13263 About the whole engineering vs. liberal arts debate: I don't think that anyone doubts that engineering courses are indeed harder than liberal arts courses, but that shouldn't matter. Just because a major is more difficult than another doesn't make it better.

Different people have different reasons for majoring in what they chose. Both majors are valuable and essential for society to run- which should be enough.
