#29978 To #29972, this is just my experience, but to me growing up in a family with money has been a privilege in many ways. I've never had to worry about money whether it be for food or housing or tuition. In another sense though seeing my parents have so much money has shown me that money really doesn't buy happiness (after a point). I feel like I have a good perspective on how much money I need to live comfortably and because of that I don't feel the need to strive to make lots and lots of money in my career to be happy and I can focus on the things I know really matter to me. It seems to me that a lot of people stress over status and money when they could be happier focusing on things that actually matter to them. Not to say that it doesn't make sense to stress over money when you're struggling to pay for essentials, but when you have a roof over your head and food to eat and some money left over for hobbies why should the number in your bank account change the way you feel about your life?
