As I have aged, however, I have observed that the media, and society in general, tries so hard to emphasize our differences. Especially race. Honestly, race is the first thing I see when I see someone now. That doesn't mean that I see them negatively based on their race, but it's just the first thing I notice about them.

What are the chances that a few of those are bad apples? Pretty good. The media pics out the ones it wants to exploit from the few bad ones. How often do you hear about all the good things thousands do every day/night. If you judge and disrespect LEO bc of the actions of one or two then you are extremely immature for one, judgemental for two, and unappreciative for three. You have absolutely no idea what officerers put themselves through everyday. There is NO SUCH THING AS A ROUTINE CALL. They have to hope for the best and be prepared to act for the worst. Not just to save themselves but the ones around them.

If you aren't doing anything wrong then what you do is cooperate w an officer so he can rule out what he May have precieved you to have done. Even if you feel it was a "profiling" incident . And for the few who may judge suspects bc of their skin color. Guess what, they're human. And you would be a damn liar if you said you didn't judge another person by some characteristic of their appearance. And when a cop is patrolling in an area that is 70% black and the description of a theft or asult subj in area is black male 5'10" 180 lbs w black hoodie. It's not racism if an officer stops someone to question if they fit the descriptions and something seems off. After all there's pleanty of you hating cops bc theyre cops. Lots of hate for people who protect you. Educate yourself. Go talk to a cop. Go do a ride along. They're free and most departments are glad to let any citizen ride along and observe the job. Ask them questions. Amd maybe you will see they are good people and maybe it will get some off the rediculous mike brown bandwagon. The officer did what he had to do.
