#13931 Recently, I've been feeling really alone and isolated here at Purdue. I would really like to make new friends particularly with girls (I am a girl). is there anyone out there?

#13928 I am the one who wrote about the racism post about categorizing people by race. I think you guys misinterpreted my post. I feel like people constantly define a minority due to his race. I constantly face microaggressions due to my race. I play basketball at corec and people keep calling me Jeremy Lin or Yao Ming in a negative way. I am a Jeremy Lin fan and am proud that there is an asian in the NBA but why you gotta keep calling me Jeremy Lin. It's offensive that blacks and white people think that all asians look the same. If there were a group of white guys how do you point a specific guy out? You use their shirt color or their height or hair. But when it comes to minorities, all people can see about them is that they look different and refer to him/her by their race. Yes, I'm asian, I know I'm asian, you don't have to point that out to me every time I go out in public.

#13927 I am a sophomore guy and I haven't been able to make any real friends at Purdue only acquaintences. The people I've met just doesn't fit my personality well. I am hoping to join a social club/organization in Spring and try to make some friends but I don't know which clubs are good. The clubs I've tried to join just kind of stopped meeting after the first couple weeks. Anyone know any good clubs that I can join that has both guys and girls where I can meet a lot of new people?

#13926 After 1.5 years at Purdue, I have decided to move on. I have decided that Purdue is just not the place for me. I have not made any friends and all attempts in trying to get a girlfriend here has failed. I feel like I just don't fit in here and being at Purdue has not done anything but make me depressed. Hopefully I can find happiness after transferring and find a place where I can be happy and feel like I belong. Goodbye Purdue.

#13924 So I worked a minimum wage job recently for a while, and my boss did not like me. I was always criticized and had a hard time keeping up.

Will this affect me in the future to get my internship?
