#14765 It really bothers me how quick people are to put down Greeks. Seems like people are just looking at the bad, instead of the good. This is just one example, but I just attended Pi Kappa Phi's War of Roses, and they did an incredible job of raising awareness and money to help those with disabilities. These gentlemen sincerely care about helping others, but, like many other fraternities and sororities, are just lumped together with all the other houses as if they're the same. Greeks do so much more than people think, but it's just overshadowed by the bad things that happen. One bad apple doesn't ruin the bunch.

#14733 Looking at starting up a Hardcore Minecraft server with dedicated playtimes and teamspeak (or a skype call or hangout or something). We'd be using the Hexxit modpack and would schedule a dedicated time to play for a few hours at a time (probably Saturday or Sunday) moving towards a goal of conquering all the dungeons and such.

Would there be interest in this? I'd like to get a lot of people together (since it'd be hardcore and all) and maybe even see if people want to help stream it. Just comment on what day/times you'd be available for this if you are interested. Thanks!

#14763 I never understood why some people here still hate on President Daniels. Yes, the job is tough but I think he's doing an awesome job. Even with the recent release on Purdue's website on their position on the new controversial Bill passed in Indiana (which takes balls because this is a state institution) and people still gave him crap. Yes, they did forget to put his actual name then they fixed it very shortly afterwards. It probably wasn't his fault. That lies in someone in PR or the website publisher I assume.

He's doing all the right things for us students. He's lowering costs for us, making appearances, new and improved facilities are being built, and so many renovations have happened so far (like the cafe in Witheral).

All I'm saying is this. He's fantastic but people I know still gives him nothing but criticism. Is it because he was right-winged when he was governor and because you're not that gives you a pass to automatically hate on him? He's in only one political party now. The party to continue to benefit us as students of this University.
