There is a reason why the west coast's majority is now Indians and Asians. Being on assistantship and asking for help is an embarrassment. I've heard Americans complain about the racial change in the coastal cities. If you don't like it, then go get into STEM, do your MS or Ph.D. and get a job in the industry.
