#17971 Anyone that thinks vinyl is a higher quality product than digital is wrong. You may like the sound better than digital, however, digital sounds more like the original recording. Printing it to vinyl is the equivalent of putting a filter on it. I want to know if people truly believe that vinyl sounds better or if they are regurgitating what someone told them. I don't understand how anyone can listen to vinyl and digital recordings side by side and think the vinyl version sounds better.

Confession: Despite this, I still collect vinyl because it is fucking fun to go record shopping and own the physical copy of an album.

Mostly because I know that people form their own opinions and arguing with them will only push them into their beliefs more, even if i do think they're misguided. Partly because I change my own opinion on matters all the time as new information is discovered, so I've learned to adapt my stances as need be (and I think that's how people SHOULD go about it).

I don't trust my parents with it because they'd lose that stuff, and if it wasn't in my wallet, I'd lose it too. Go ahead and tell me how stupid that is, I've heard it before. Not gonna change that.
