#19089 My dad finally said he was proud of the major I chose. He didn't used to be- he had wanted me to go into the medical field because that would get me a guaranteed job. When I chose something different, he was iffy about it. I said I didn't care, that I was doing something I wanted and didn't need his approval. And looking back, I'm glad I chose what I did. I am much happier than I would have been in medicine. But damn if his saying that didn't hit me right in the feels.
No matter what we choose to be, we want the people who matter to be proud of us for it.
