It's been two years since I've battled with suicidal thoughts, and now they're flaring back up. I'm in therapy again, have a good network of close friends, and a boyfriend whom I love. But I can't get rid of these thoughts.

My parents make me feel useless. Incompetent. I can't talk to them because they belittle my concerns, as well as the things that make me happy. There's a history of abuse and manipulation, but it's gotten to the point that I don't even know who I am. They've controlled me to the extent that I no longer entertain the idea of aspirations or the like because I am conditioned to believing they'll crush them.

Confession: I don't want to die. But I don't know if it's because of myself missing life, or because I know how disappointed in me they would be.
