#23518 Why I wont be enrolling at Purdue next semester:

College has become a machine for the kids with dreams to be put into a debt limbo so they put their dreams away and instead suck up to companies, change their hair cuts, put on suites, and earn enough cash to buy a Ferrari.

Here at the college of my home town there are thousands of bright intelligent kids and professors all joined together in close proximity. Instead of using our collective intelligence to make the world an awesome place we use it to smash each other into text books, tests that only test our ability to drink coffee and stay awake, and "research" ,half of which research projects are loose veils to get money in the pockets of the higher up at my college of Purdue.

Learning is something I do everyday, usually for free. Sometime I do have to pay people for lessons and advice, but can I honestly say that I have gotten $7,500 worth of lessons in my lectures this semester? i can honestly say that I haven't.

I'd rather go into a 15 grand debt per year traveling the world, ACTUALLY fixing problems, and helping people.

Until I can say that I will get my deposit of 15g's worth in knowledge, help to humanity, and my own self rounding by enrolling in classes at Purdue I am out.

I can still walk into lectures for free and learn.
I can still attend clubs like habitat for humanity that are doing amazing things to help people in our community.
I can still play soccer on the intramural fields.
I can still walk the hort. park.
Honestly, nothings changed except for the fact that I am now not going into debt or insanity.
