#23712 My confession is that I have completely given up this semester. I have an exam tomorrow that I will fail, after failing one today. You may think fail, as in below 70%, but I mean fail as in below 40%, or even lower. I cannot recall nearly anything I've "learned". I'd rather just fail these classes and get it over with, so I can get on academic probation, start fresh with the classes, and work my absolute hardest to graduate while only staying one more semester.

#23707 I have struggled this whole semester for a biochemistry course where quiz averages can be as low as 16% on a four question multiple choice quiz. Despite the struggle up to this point, it only just occurred to me why it's been so difficult. Instead of teaching in a uni-directional pathway that leads logically from one point to another, we're taught in a way that will sometimes jump from, from example, nitrogen waste products (based around urea-excretion) to amino acid catabolism, and then suddenly to the fundamental structure of urea. It's like how Rick travels between dimensions in Rick and Morty with his portal gun. It gets hard to follow, the more dimensions you leap, and eventually someone dies.
