My best friend has recently started hanging out with a few "friends" she used to talk shit about nonstop. She would have their names saved as rude words and talk about how much prettier and smarter she is than them, and that she's experienced many more problems in life than them (pretty much belittling them). I used to think these people were what she constantly said: dumb. But as I have started to hang out with them with her, I have realized they aren't. Now I just feel fake when I see her acting like they are best friends, because I know the horrible way she has treated them behind their backs and there's nothing I can really do. Now I'm left to wonder if she does the same thing to me, her "best friend".
