My first year in college was difficult. I came up here alone and with no money... I couldn't afford textbooks, rent, or food and the constant stress and anxiety of it all piled up. But now, I have a job and all I want to do is help people pay for their books and groceries... I've met random people here at NAU and even though they don't know it, I'm going to be paying for all of their textbooks help them get food. My objective is to help a couple of people every semester. im sad to not be able to continue attending a group on campus because im not enrolled. it was fine for two semesters and I was an avid member, but since I could not get enrolled, i have to leave....i made friendships and were part of their events.

So many people from my high school keep posting albums full of their trips to Peru, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Europe, and other exotic locales and I'm just sitting here thinking "how the hell do they afford it?"
