Why is it so hard to make new friends here. I'm in several clubs, a few classes and work on campus but everyone keeps to themselves or is in a "clique". Just tired of the constant repetition and only having 2 friends here (roommates).

So I must confess that I like my roommate, but not the "oh, I kind of like you but this is just a crush", no it is more like "every time I see you my heart stops and my brain turns to mush". Any time he bumps into me or we touch my whole body heats up and I get shivers everywhere. But this is where I have a question when did it become more about revenge and getting back than equality. Because from where I'm standing that's what it looks like society wants more than equality. If there was equally I would be allowed to live with my girlfriend on campus the same way the lesbian couple down the hall can. There wouldn't be black heritage month or a womens study's class because we would all be the same. Where is the equality in me feeling like I have done something wrong for my skin color and where I was born any more than a black man or Hispanic woman. Where is the equality in that?
