Im in love with this girl in my BIO Lab class and she is fucking beautiful. I'm sure she knows I'm a lesbian or at least I hope she knows. She laughs at my jokes and I just can't stop smiling when I see her. I really wish I knew what she thought of me.....

So here is an online dating cautionary tale. Last year I was talking to this girl who seemed really nice, and really cute, student, 19. She was scared to meet in person so I took it as she was shy. After a month she finally agreed to meet up for dinner. I got there early, as I do, and this ugly, missing teeth and patchy hair, 40 year old woman walks up to me. She greets me by name and goes in to hug me. It turns out this woman had been using her daughters pictures to date younger men. She said she wanted people to see her "inner child" because she didn't think younger men would go for her if she was truthful. I booked it out of there, and proceeded to cringe and cry of terror in the fetal position for a good week.
So kids, that's why you always do research and background checks when dating online.

I haven't seriously considered dating in over a year, and truth is, I am completely content this way. Instead of this comfortability making me feel better about being single, it actually makes me feel like something is wrong with me...
I've had many great guys show persistent interest, but I haven't requited anybody's feelings for awhile. I can't tell if this is because I haven't met somebody truly worth my time and energy, or if I'm suddenly just not attracted to anyone at all anymore??
I'm starting to think I feel this way because of a previous traumatic relationship, but I've gotten over PTSD and healed from the past, so I know that I am not depressed or scared. I'm typically outgoing-- so meeting people isn't the problem. I'm also sexually frustrated so I know my mind and body are not in sync!

It's unbelievably ignorant to think you know more then others solely based on the perception of believing in a higher power or not.

I just really need to confess that my valentine's day is guna always be perfect! Single or not. I know it's like totally great right :) hee hee
