Tonight at the HotSpot, one of the workers was obscenely rude to my friend and I. I am an overweight guy and my friend is really fit. The worker kept saying "You want two scoops of mac n cheese, right?" and proceeded to do so with everything I asked for, and he would give me a look of disbelief when I said I only wanted one scoop of the foods. Meanwhile, he gave dainty portions to my thin friend. This is ridiculously rude. Just because I am overweight does not mean I eat enough for three people. It doesn't work that way! And just because she is skinny doesn't mean she eats like a rabbit! We were both extremely offended.

I'm a senior now at NAU, sociable, out-going, and a handsome guy, but I feel as if time is ticking away to find that "one" girl. It's funny because I'm so caught up in the idea of the social norms. You know, wondering around campus, bump into a girl, she drops her papers, you pick em up, and bam! Next thing you know you're having dinner with her and a love story is unraveling. Ha, but then there is reality... Whether it's the girl you meet is not just ready to commit, she may have trust issues, baggage, all sorts of things. I don't entirely blame society, but I do in such cases were a guy now a days has to carry around a hammer just to break down the walls that these beautiful women build due to insecurity, caution of being hurt again or made a fool of because some dude thought she was replaceable and disposable and used like an object. I think that's the problem there. Society glorifies sex, relationships aren't something that happens anymore... There's guidelines, standards, and woah... God forbid we don't abide by them because we will be judged and we can't have that. Long story short, this is my confession. A good, traditional guy whom holds honor to his name and his actions. Until proven wrong or discover her, just a hopeless romantic.
