I have been through Hell and Back this year, Lost my Fiancé, my best friend to him, my dignity and my grandfather. I almost lost a friend to alcohol poisoning, I gained 2 stalkers, and a persistant friend that decided that his idea of "I can be a better boyfriend to you than your boyfriend is now" was a goal. He decided to feel me up when we would hug, and being a girl who works out regularly it wasn't hard to push him off, but still I felt violated, so I told him this and started being distant. Then another Guy decided to have the same idea when he discovered I was a "gorgeous virgin". It's not fair. I clearly am not interested and I just want serious relationships. My ex fiancé emotionally damaged me with verbal abuse, calling me a whore and everything in between.....I just want a normal relationship, with a normal guy, who DOESN'T JUSRT

I hate when people judge others lifestyles because of differences like being gay, straight, atheist, Christian, Muslim, fat, short and so on. It doesn't affect you so just stfu and go on with your god damn life.

Although not the *only* measure, grades indicate intelligence. If someone figures out how to obtain a high GPA and is willing to put in the effort to maintain it, they are smart. This person has figured out that grades are what distinguish students. Professors recognize those who work hard, and invite them to do research, work on publications, or become TAs/SIs. Adding these credentials to a resume further separates these students. A distinguished student is chosen over a non-distinguished student when it is time for graduate school or a first job. Good grades may be half showing up and half understanding material, but that describes employment too. So yes, it is possible that someone who graduates cum laude+ has slightly less impressive fluid intelligence than someone who scraped by without studying, but one of those students understood what it took to become successful in this culture.
