I love NAU. I'm all about that lumberjack life. but where the heck do our professors get the nerve to pass out such shitty grades especially on the last assignments of the semester. Ones that drop you a whole letter grade. I didn't choose this school so I could work hard and get C's. And do not get me started on foreign professors who you can hardly understand.... am I the only one who feels this way?!?

I've been home less than 48 hours and I want to go back to NAU and I have already decided I'm not coming home for the summer (hopefully I'll be able to get a job and scrape together the money to do that). I feel like the worst daughter ever. But my parents seem to think I'm the same person I was four months ago when I left for my junior year of college and it's driving me crazy. Not to mention that they think I have no interest in drinking (I just turned 21, really guys?!) and I'm going to need something to get through this holiday break. My mom is really critical of everything and everyone and 95% of the body image issues I have are because of her backhanded comments. I can't tell them I'm not the person I used to be because I then I would have to tell them how and in what ways I am not the old me. They seemed to have forgotten that I am a grown up, capable of making my own decisions, do not need to be babied, and that I am a sexual being in touch with my sexuality. Damn growing up sucks. Nothing makes you feel more like a child all over again than going home during the holidays.
