#24695 My life is at a critical crossroads. I have struggled to finance my enrollment here at MSU but I I am finally starting my 3rd semester in January with overwhelming optimism in part because I have begun to supplement and even decrease my tuition cost and also because I am beginning to finally feel at home here in Bozeman. My girlfriend and I just reached two and a half years and have begun talking seriously about marriage and our future lives together. She is my best friend and moving in together was the best decision I/we have ever made. The problem however is this. I am 21 she is 25 and finishes grad school in less than two months. She has, as a result, developed what I can best describe as overwhelming depression and perpetual sadness everyday because her "life as a student is ending". While I bust my ass 24/7 trying to obtain an education and keep a good attitude everything in life, she drags her feet, mopes, and whines constantly about having a "job and a salary" all while having zero debt to deal with unlike myself whom, if I can even graduate, will be paying my student loans off AT LEAST into my 30's. Somebody shoot me some words of wisdom on how to uplift my girlfriends outlook on life as a successful debt-freeMasters Degree holder, I've run out of ideas.
