#24949 Why is it that when people mention sexism, they forget that guys can be victims of sexist incidents as well?

#24948 To the server at Old Chicago who sat and had a 30-min conversation with my dad about alcohol: not many people are cool enough to have a long, drawn-out conversation with a customer, especially that close to closing. Thank you for indulging him in pleasant discussion, and not getting upset that we delayed your close. I can see why this location is
#1! Also you're very handsome and my friend told me I should've given you my number. Till we meet again perhaps.

#24946 I bet it's pretty profitable to be a mechanic, you can spend a couple hours trying to diagnose and fix something, not fix the problem and still charge you an arm and a leg.

#24945 So if you're a serious Christian isn't it a sin to care about your follower status on Instagram? Hypocrites lol.

#24944 I think I might have penile cancer and I'm terrified that I would have to get my dick cut off but I'll let a doctor know because that's important.

#24943 One of the supposedly liberal professors I am required to take classes from actually said "racism is taught...and can be unlearned". Really? I mean, if that's what you need to tell your garbage relatives to keep the peace at the back yard BBQ, then go for it, but hearing it at a higher education class seriously makes me lose respect for this place.
Because most every white person I’ve met who said they unlearned racism or even puts forth legitimate effort towards changing still tends to be pretty racist and still exhibits racist behavior that they block out via cognitive dissonance. I don’t think it’s something you really unlearn TBH since nothing that is internalized is ever really uninternalized, only blocked out temporarily. If you gave a hateful speech at a dinner table to a black guest, then you will always be the person who did that, and nothing can change how far you went. Not blaming mommy and daddy’s parenting, not blaming the environment you grew up in, etc. A person like that is useless to the anti-racist cause in 2015. And nobody who is naturally repulsed by that kind of behavior should have to waste time trying to appeal to that heartless kind of person, reason with them, or befriend them. If someone ever felt serious hatred or fear for non-white people for an extended period of time, then that’s part of who they are and all they are really doing by “unlearning” it is learning how factually wrong racism is (race isn’t a thing that scientifically exists, racism isn’t genetic, etc). But they are still likely to be managing their garbage racist emotions by existing in an always fun-to-be-around state of behavior control for the rest of their life, and that’s all on them. Some people are just too toxic to be around, but that’s reality. Why is this university catering to people like that in 2015?

#24942 Why do good guys always go for the stupid girl with pounds of makeup on instead of the smart girl with no makeup?
