If you don't get the same kindness and respect you give to someone in return, then they don't deserve it. Walking away is the hardest thing, but maybe even being absent is what might make them realize just how important you are to them. And never take anyone's kindness for granted, because one they leave and you realize just how amazing that person was in your life, they will have no interest in being friends with someone who walked all over them.
