#23177 I am Horrified tonight. At the Kountz Arena today in Bozeman Montana this stallion was photographed in this condition laying in a feces filled, disgusting stall. There was a show at the Arena, and he was discovered in one of the barns. Across the aisle was a calf with a broken neck, lying suffering. This horse is a stallion that was standing at stud at the Arena. 20 years old. I thank each and every person today that faced this horror head on and took pictures, and called the sheriff dept. and animal control. Quick rumors leaking out now are that this stallion was injured over Christmas. Now I'm going to give you my personal opinion. Each and every person that walked by this animal in this condition needs to have their ass handed to them. This fury that I feel right now would drive me to violence had I been there. They should all be charged...each and every one of them. They should not be allowed to own an animal again...ever. I will never walk into this arena, so long as the Kountzs own it. Do not try to tell me they care for their animals. This is not proper vet care. This is not compassion. After the uproar today, this horse was made to stand and load into a trailer to be taken to an undisclosed location. Supposedly to be put down. What type of person are you to make a horse walk on that stump? What about balancing in a trailer as it drives down the road? HORRIFYING. I personally wil be contacting the sheriffs department in Bozeman until justice is done. THERE IS NO EXCUSE.

#23173 I sincerely hope that any horse people at MSU and in the surrounding area boycott boarding, shows, and breeding out of Kountz Arena after this tragedy. This stud was forced to live three months before finally being put to rest on March 28th. This is horrendous and unacceptable. Keep your horses safe from people who do this.
