And now I have the displeasure of looking at facebook and seeing all these people who are saying we shouldn't kill him because that means we are "just as low" as he is. I disagree. I understand why people have an issue with execution, I do. However, I also believe that people should only be placed in prison if they can be rehabilitated. I do not believe that is going to be the case with Tsarnaev and I feel the same about many others who have killed and been placed on a sentence of life in prison. They will not be productive in society and will not learn from their faults. As a result, I'd rather have the resources and funds necessary for maintaining their loves and comfort to go towards better goals. Like, say, fixing our failing infrastructure. People may have an issue with execution, but in the long run it is more practical and can allow public resources to be placed towards nobler ends.
