#24010 I grew up in a conservative household and, while my parents allowed me to develop my own opinions, there are three things they taught me that should be ultimately private that I still hold on to: Sex, Religion, and Family/Relationship Problems. My sex life, religious practices, and issues with loved ones is no one's concern except for myself and the others involved. Yet many friends post about all three of theirs on a damn daily basis here on FB.

How about instead of posting about every consensual sexual encounter you've had you keep your mouth shut. Instead of posting a constant stream of God-oriented tweet and biblical quotes, prove you are a good Christian through other actions. Instead of stirring the pot and getting people involved who have no reason to be with the problems between you and your loved ones, try to solve the problem yourself.

Should be common sense.

I believe that life is precious and begins at conception, but women should have the choice to have an abortion in cases of rape or incest. I'm relatively liberal, and I don't know how well I'll fit in with other members of the church. On top of that, I don't know how to tell my parents. Every time the idea of another religion presents itself in my family, people get sad and defensive and hurt. I just want to pursue what I want without feeling hindered by someone else's beliefs, but that seems impossible. Thoughts? Advice?
