#24357 To the people who feel the need to CONTINUALLY post about the presidents decision to drive while under the influence and claim that as ASMSU president she needs to step down mainly for the fact she put other lives in danger while making the decision to drink and drive... you do not have room to talk if you have ever drove under the influence whether you were caught or not, if you've ever texted or talked on the phone while driving, if you've ever driven while tired or have done anything to distract you from driving or been on any kind of drug that alters your decision making while on the road. This includes weed, antihistamines (NyQuil, Benadryl, or other OTC drugs to help with allergies and colds), or stimulants (while caffeine and amphetamines may increase alertness, they can affect driving by leading to "over-confidence" which can be dangerous and distracting). That's just to name a few things that can put other drivers at risk under YOUR responsibility. Now if you can honestly say you are not at fault for doing one or more of these things feel free to speak up, otherwise stop posting about it!

When politicians, either on a national or school level, can emerge with their career unscathed after a stunt like this, people tend to become disillusioned by the political process and lose both hope and interest. I can't speak for everyone, but our student body President no longer "represents" me and I have no more faith in our own internal politics anymore. At this point, I see the ASMSU President position as a glorified Prom Queen/King. So by all means, keep saying that she shouldn't step down and that most of us didn't care before. You're part of the reason why.
