Have you guys considered that maybe your aggressive, hostile, silencing, and shaming tactics do nothing but push people away? To the point where people are afraid of discourse in fear of callouts? You can’t convince silent people. The messages are good, but your tactics only convince people in the echo chamber that already agree with you.
Case in point: StopWhiteNoise. Sure, great underlying message. But given the blatant white hate, and that name with such aggressive execution which simply demonizes white people, the same people you're trying to convince, ... maybe ... just maybe you should be a little nicer?? I wasn't aware that the best way to get people on your side was to insult and belittle them.
Your tactics give the real issues a hostile image, illegitimizing the work that genuine people put into fighting them. I think you all need to give this MacWeekly article a good read: http://themacweekly.com/2017/04/in-defense-of-the-offensive/. The best way to fight is patiently, calmly, and with logic.
I apologize for the condescending tone, but it's more likely to incite a response that I genuinely would like to read to gain your perspective. Thanks, and I hope you understand my perspective.
