I am afraid of labels, of identity shifts, of people looking at me differently, of looking at myself differently. and if I do "accept" this label, how? You can't just text your parents and say hey guess what I am bi. I know there is no single story, but if others who have come out or struggled with these issues, or if there is another place I should go to for help, I would love to hear it. I am sorry if this confession is out of place, or stupid, or something. I am just struggling and, sad as it is, this is where I chose to go.

#134 Something I learned on my study abroad: "global citizenship" is a load of crap. If you go somewhere else, people will treat you like an American. They can always tell you're American. It does not matter how much you like their culture and language and try to learn about or understand it. You'll always be socially, legally, and culturally American. Maybe if you immigrate somewhere, your kids can grow up to be citizens of that country. But global citizen? What a load of garbage. Nobody can be a global citizen Just take pride in your own country and strive to make it the best place you can.
