#873 The earth no longer has viable clean sources of water. The earth is dying a slow death propagated by climate change and major extraction of natural resources. People are dying because they don't have enough food, and yet obesity exists all around the world. There is a literal island of plastic shit in the middle of the pacific. War is an everyday reality, not only abroad, but in the ghettos that exist all over America. America has become a military state and we have accepted this as our "national security". There are huge issues of racism, sexism, and classism prevalent in our society, but anyone who can make some actual change chooses to ignore it because it doesn't directly affect them. We burn coal everyday to power our electronics, yet the sun and the earth gives free energy to the entire planet. People don't even know that eventually, we run out of materials, because we are constantly berated with propaganda telling us to buy more shit, to sell more shit, and to want someone else's shit. There are 1% of human beings who believe they run the world. Every human being is being affected by these problems, and if we don't look past all this bullshit that society tells us makes us separate individuals, we will never see the power and potential of a massive social movement, where people look at other people as fellow human beings. Not black or white or cis or trans. But as human. The more we argue about how different we seem, the more we lose sight of how connected we actually are. Every time we fight with each other, we lose another moment that we could have come together and affected real change. Look around for a couple seconds. Is this the world you want to live in? You didn't choose this life, but you can choose its future. Are you going to let the world die? Or are you going to die trying to save the world?

#872 I need to get up now. I need to get to class now. But I feel faint. My mind is reeling. My feet won’t move. I curl into the blankets and pillows further. I can’t breath. I curl in even more. I need to get up. I need to get to class. I can’t miss again. I can’t get up. I need more sleep. I can’t function. Can I afford to miss class? Miss just once more? I can go tomorrow. I’ll get back on my feet then. I can get a whole bunch of stuff done today so that tomorrow will be better. I just need a bit more sleep. Should I move the alarm up for twenty minutes? Maybe a half hour. Darn it. I can’t do this. I need more sleep. How about a sleep cycle? That should help. I’ll move the alarm up an hour and a half. I will feel better then and can start getting things done. Its so much better under the covers.
