#1251 I was at an occupy protest once. In retrospect, it was idiotic. We were out there holding signs and shouting bullshit while the GOP was making phone calls, raising money, and registering voters. Protesting is a waster of energy, and phrases like "no justice no peace" are absurd in a society with a two century history of peaceful power transfers. Go vote, go make calls, and if you have money, give it. Otherwise don't act like the "system" failed you when the Republicans hold Congress for the next ten years.

#1250 I'm tired of the entitled college guys at Macalester. Just because I'm nice to you, doesn't mean I want to have sex with you.

#1249 I would have thought that there would have been some form of action or spaces to talk and process Ferguson and criminal justice system. I am disappointed that there are not.

#1248 Overheard in Principles of Economics:
Professor:
"After 40 hours a week it really begins to turn up."
"Why does this guy earn so much? Because he's a beautiful man, he fills those seats."
"I buy Sudafed at Walgreens, I buy Pot behind Old Main, these are product markets."

#1247 I really hope that people don't think that the United States is the only country with race problems, or the worst race problems.

#1246 I just realized that the social science are housed in Carnegie Hall. Carnegie Hall. Seriously, how did I not realize this, nor anyone else, it seems, in all the time I was at Macalester? It would have made saying where I was going to class more interesting. Now if only they would replace the useless Anthro department with a deli. Then we would have Carnegie Deli too.

#1244 "Bon Appetit is offering its rustic, made-from-scratch pies, which contain only the freshest ingredients and handmade crust to students, faculty, and staff."-I really hope someone else noticed this and thought it was hilarious. I've always wanted a "rustic" pie, haven't you? I can hardly imagine how the scrumptious handmade pies tastes! mmm, rustic!
