#1443 This page needs to stop posting confessions about suicide contemplation because there are numerous other resources other resources that people who experience such extreme feelings should actually go to:such as a counselor, spiritual chaplain, support groups, or the suicide hotline. That is where the real help is because even though people will reply to such posts to offer themselves as confidents ( which is really nice), professional intervention is the first priority. I am of the opinion that by posting suicude related posts, this page can be detracting from the real problem. Posting here seriouslymajes no difference.
On a final note, seeing suicide confessions is a trigger to me (and maybe others). I have come really far and worked really hard so that I can be more effective in dealing with such drastic thoughts and behaviors. Seeing these confessions reminds me of times that I wish I could forget and I think that they put ideas into vulnerable minds.
I am anticipating a few snide and thoughtless responses to this confession but I want people to think of the implications. I also want to stress to those who are in a very dark time of their lives that YOU posess great INNER STRENGTH and YOU CAN GET THROUGH THIS. The present is what it is, and no situation or feeling is permanent.
