#1995 As an international student whose native language is not English, I think the language requirement is really nothing. A lot of us started learning a foreign language at a very young age because whether we speak a first world language or not will have a huge impact on our future. Being forced to stay in our bedrooms to memorize articles after articles in a foreign language is a pretty common childhood experience. Basically, people around the world have to learn foreign languages so that YOU don't have to. And I know some international students here went to high school crappier than you can ever imagine and still are able to master 2 to 3 foreign languages. Please try a little too.

#1994 I think Mac's language requirement is actually a great idea, although the exact logistics could use some improvement. Any school that claims to be as globally focused as Mac better damn well require their (mostly white, English-speaking, American) students to learn a language other than English.
