As I was taking a shower, I realized that I could change my life and start anew with 2014. I mean, I could become a different person: cut my hair, quit my job, change my name, change my major, go travel, I could do anything-

and then, I somehow got shampoo into my eyes and mouth,stubbed my toe on the shower door, and broke the towel rack as I tried to stop myself from falling, but failed....

Not to be that guy, but I'm really not too pumped about having Monday off. After a pretty dismal winter break sitting around my house, i'd honestly like something to do (i.e. class). Besides it's not even a nice day off, what am i supposed to enjoy? Three extra hours in my day to go get frostbite & hypothermia? HA yeah right.

This whole "no school on Monday" thing is just a sign from the J-Term gods that I should procrastinate.

I'm going to have about 15 packages waiting for me in the Hamline post office and I'm unreasonably nervous about the people working in there judging me or being annoyed with it.

I think giving compliments en masse is stupid.

I'm not positive if it's hamline students who work in the book store or not but I had some confusion with returning textbooks and the girl who helped me over the phone was SO sweet and extremely helpful, going above and beyond to help me out. I just wanted to share that and say I'm really appreciative because textbooks can be stressful as there's alot of money tied up in them and I loved that the worker there was so willing to help me out.

So I think it's awesome that people are going the whole "post compliments on your wall " thing, but has anyone thought about the people who aren't getting any postings? I feel like these things don't works out. Think about it. Everyone is going on with their day and all feel the same. Then, a select few get a complement on their wall so they are really happy and their average day is good. However, then there are people who just watch other people get compliments, anxiously waiting for one while they don't get any. Now their average day sucks. If you're going to start something like this, then you have to take all these things into consideration. I know you obviously can't post on everyone's wall, but if you're friends with someone and post on everyone else's it feels pretty lame.
