#251 I came to Evergreen partly because of it's fantastic LGBTQ community as I do identify on the spectrum, but now I've come to find that a portion of the LGBTQ community is very fond of bullying and belittling others while passing it of as "defending your rights."
As someone who does NOT approve of any form of peer pressure and bullying, I'd just like to say that if you have had a bad experience with the LGBTQ community, don't give up hope. There are a lot of us here that are very open and friendly and won't exclude you or belittle you because you do not identify on the spectrum or are not 100% schooled on all things queer. In fact, many of us want to be friends and are more than glad to explain details of the LGBTQ community that you may have questions about.
If anyone on campus, and not just members of the LGBTQ community, has been aggressive, mean, threatening, or verbally abusive in any way, please don't hesitate to call them out on their shit. No one is immune to being an asshole, and using the LGBTQ community as a vessel to perpetuate being an asshole is really shitty.
Don't lump as together. Not all of us are assholes.

In short, I wish I had the guts to put metal in my teeth and I want to learn Chinese now.

#246 Even though logically I understand that the chances of this happening are very slim with Evergreen being very liberal and all, I still harbor a deep fear that someday one of the anarchists is going to start open firing and I'll be in the way when it happens.
