#13052 My girlfriend and I have been together for many years. It all started when we used to play house in the 5th grade. We're now looking for a place to move in to together for our senior year. The only problem? her parents are totally against it. I honestly don't like her parents by the Gods they anger me to no end. Her father, the most prideful man I have ever met. If something is wrong with my gf's car he has to be the one that fixes it i'm not allowed to touch it. IF anything goes wrong and she asks me for help I'm not allowed to visit her until I say sorry. Her mother, appearance is the most important thing in the world. Constantly making negative comments here and there about my gf's weight. In my opinion 120lbs is not over weight. For years and years I've had to tolerate their insolence. I'm no longer welcome in their home because of an incident that occurred four months ago. The day my gf and I decided it was time we find a place together and leave home. We told my parents first and they where all for it all of my aunts and uncles moved in together before marriage. Then we told her parents, they where angry because they expected her to live with them until she had a job, was married for 2 years and had money to move in to a house in their neighborhood. I told them what she has been wanting and they couldn't accept that she wanted to move to Alhambra for now. Her dad was angry and my guess offended, he believes that we basically told him he cannot provide for her and I'm a better man blah blah blah. Finally my gf came forward and said she isn't happy living with them anymore shes 22 has a 10'o clock curfew, not allowed to work, restrictions on what she gets to watch on tv and what she wears. There was a pause and then her dad slapped her across the face and called her an ungrateful whore. Never have I been so angry and filled with hate and rage all at once. I'm a very patient and kind person and able to keep my cool but that moment sent me over the edge. Before I knew it my 6'3 240lb body was lunging forward with a tight clinched fist towards her dad's 5'6 130lb body frame. As soon as my hand made contact with his face I knew 1 of 2 things would happen. Scenario 1 My gf would take her dad's side and hate me forever and that would be the end of our relationship. Scenario 2 she would take my side and that would probably be the end of her relationship with her parents. The events of what happened have not been talked about with anyone else and I can't keep it to my self anymore. I decided to post here anonymously to see get the opinions of my fellow golden eagles. Should I have not done anything? Should we have just moved in first and tell them afterwards?


and if anyone is wondering yes I can afford a place for both of us along with water, food, electricity etc.I have a high paying job as an armed guard in my uncles company.
