I think all of the students and staff members who are telling us to be afraid of Trump and telling us that people are afraid are sadly ignorant. To all people who seriously are afraid i beg you, do real research. Look at his speeches and his policies instead of reading one Internet article. He is actually one of the most pro LGBT Republicans we have seen and he has made several outreaches to every minority AND did better with minorities than past Republicans. And if you are afraid of illegals being deported im afraid its the law. Sorry not sorry. Dont be ignorant and dont attack his supporters. Do the research

I remember my friend from high school telling me a story of how she crossed the border when she was 9 years old, past dead bodies of those who couldn't make it across the desert. I want to see some bum ass student who voted for trump explain to me how it's okay to call her a scum bag, rapist criminal or whatever. There should be a wall worth millions on the border right?

Some of my family members have had the Victim Mentality their whole life and I cannot take listening to them whine about things that "aren't their fault" anymore when now I see they are clearly at fault.

The thing that I want my Liberal friends to understand is this: As bad as you think Trump is, I think Hillary is worse. That is the only reason that I voted for him. I DO NOT support the majority of his values. He is immoral and he disgusts me. The things he has said are abhorrent. The panic and agony in your eyes breaks my heart. Please know that I do care about your pain. I want you to understand that I voted for him *ONLY* because I fear Hillary and he was the *ONLY* alternative.

The past few days have really brought back some of my suicidal thoughts. People I thought I could trust have made it clear that they don't really care about people like me, people whose rights are currently being threatened. They don't care.

I am upset that I do not see the students/staff/faculty of GFU organizing & openly protesting Trump. So much so that I wonder if I am sending my child and my money to the wrong University.

Having voted for Trump, yesterday was one of the most stressful days of my life. The level of ignorance towards the Republican party is unbelievable. Here's my truth, voting for Trump did not mean I stood for his hate. My voting for Trump was me choosing who I thought was the lesser of the two evils. I do not believe that anyone who voted for Hilary approved of anything she was accused of. The least I could ask for is the same. We are the American people and it is OUR job to ensure that the LGBT community, Muslims, and minorities feel at home in this country. We can either rise to the occasion and accept the challenge before us, or we can just complain. America had challenges to face regardless of who was elected, and I'm tired of hearing that we are powerless in the shaping of our country. This is a historic time in America, and the outcome is up to us. More then any of that though, the God this university believes in, that I believe in, is so much bigger then one man in office. I understand the hurt and fear many are facing, but let's all have a little faith in spite of that fear. God is good, even now.

Maybe its my own anxiety (if I have it), but I never feel like anyone wants me around. Nine times out of ten I'm by myself. I'm distant because I'm always worried I'll look like a fool or a freak.
