I really wish the media would start investigating pizzagate rather than trying to cover it up.

I'm just curious, does anyone else feel utterly dissatisfied by the teaching at Vespers, especially last night? I feel like the lesson they taught last night was that we are all too stupid to try and understand the psalms, so instead let's play 25 minutes of pop music and call it good. Am I the only one? Aren't we smart people engaged in higher education? Surely we can handle an exogetical teaching on the Bible.

I think that if chapel wasn't required this school would be so much better. Mediocre music, speakers, and thanks to the election we know it's blatantly biased. Truly a great Christian experience.

I feel like trump supporters are forced to stay in the closet on college campuses.

I really wish they could leave politics out of chapel. It's something you can never get away from and when I go to chapel, I want to worship and learn, not hear biased political viewpoints

I feel the need to say something about voters and non-voters of Trump. It is absolutely sad seeing the divide that has been created as a result of this election. When Trump won, a lot of college students here were frustrated... some even cried. I was frustrated too. You can't call them cry babies cuz just as you did, there are a lot of people who have invested a lot of entions in this election.
This was an election that was about emotions rather than discussing issues. A lot of Trump's speech trigger these feelings.
I'm glad that many of Trump voters don't feel "SAFE" at GFU because they fear being bashed or their grades being affected. Why am I glad? Because both sides of the issue can see or feel what it feels like to feel unwanted/welcomed or being labeled. My question for you is: what are you doing to create a good environment for all?
I think it's important to have conversations with someone with different political views. One thing to do is to acknowledge each other's feelings or frustrations. This doesn't mean u NEED to agree with the individual. Acknowledging the feeling allows the person to feel valued without being mocked at. The person, on the other hand, will be able to listen as to why you voted or did not vote for Trump.
I don't believe everyone who voted him is racist. That's absurd. It doesn't make sense. Not every Muslim is a terrorist just like not every Caucasian Christian is a KKK member. You see how far we have gotten with the labeling? We forgot the most fundamental aspect in living in a society. That is treat everyone with respect and dignity.
There are legit reasons as to why many people think Trump shouldn't be president just like many of his voters had reasons to vote for him. Please, don't try to quote bible verses as to why people should be silent and respond to Trump's leadership. Hitler was a leader too and his leadership was animalistic. Should people have followed his leadership too? According to your bible verse, they should have. Or if we go back to slavery times, the Bible was used to enslave people. You are giving a bad name to Christianity as it already has been under attack. So stop with your verse. It makes people angrier than ever. My rant is over lol ??
So here's what I'm asking: who would be willing to talk it out? Should we have a forum, say once a week, to talk about these opposing views? Maybe like a couple hours a week? I'd rather have someone being mad at my face than hugging me or shaking my hands while they are bitter against me.
If we do end up doing it, I would want it to be a very respectful and safe place for anyone to come and blur out their views. I'm a very busy person and would be behind such initiative if someone wants to lead it. Who would be down? If no one is down, I'll see what I can do.
Let's have a convo!! Shall we? Who's with me?

Hey guys, I have a problem: I have asked around my group of friends and all of them already have someone to live with next year. I have already had less-than-ideal experiences with roommates, and I don't want to suffer through another one. This year, my problem is that all my roommates are way too busy with schoolwork and jobs to do anything, and I find myself bored or lonely half the time. If you would like to house with me next year, please say so in the comments and I'll send you a Facebook message so that we can make arrangements. I am a female student who will be a senior next year.
