I've noticed many people speaking about how the political talk in chapel makes them feel unknown. I've also noticed that speakers have often been more liberal.

Even though I myself am a liberal, I agree that politics should be kept out of chapel and it be used purely for the praise of God and learning about the scripture.

Rusty and Jamie, commenting on this post and others like it, asking that the writer come into the spIL office for a chat is ridiculous and borderline intimidation, especially after you've made your political views explicitly clear. Students are voicing a grievance. It's obvious to me that this grievance is shared based on the numbers of likes, supportive comments, and similar posts in both public and anonymous forums. Disregarding it only proves how little you care truly about the student body, because of you did care, you would work to unite us, not divide us. I'm confident that none of us are paying $40,000 a year to have your political agenda shoved down our throats. Chapel should be a time to seek God, not be bombarded with whatever propaganda you've picked out that week. If you're going to cram love and tolerance and peace into your message, then put your money where your mouth is and love and tolerate and be peaceful towards everyone equally. Regardless of their political views.

I like how no one said anything about sexual objectification on the confession about the girl wanting to sit on a Bon workers face as if there's no such thing as a man being objectified. I always hear girls at fox talking about how hot all the guys look in baseball and sweatpants too.. but no one ever talks about that.
