I think that petitions only spread conflict and draw a big, clear red line in between sides. I think they make things far more difficult than necessary. If good people truly believe something is wrong, they will give something more than a signature, especially an electronic one. Anyone can sit back and pick a side from behind a computer screen, but few have the brass to do something real.

As a person of color, sometimes I feel sad for Caucasian people who are frowned upon for the actions of their ancestors. They can't help being born into a certain ethnicity or race (just like no one else can help it). So please don't follow double standards and place them under stereotypical criticisms. There is good and bad within every person. Let's give recognition to those who support the issues that minorities and other marginalized groups face.

There's a really cute freshman guy named Spencer ( I wish I knew his last name) but he has dark brown hair, average height. Friend-zones suck, to say the least - I know there's been alot of talk on that topic here.
I'm really starting to feel something deeper for one of my good guy friends, and being a girl its kind of wierd to look at it that way. But seriously. I don't think he sees me as anything other than a friend, and I just tear apart inside every time I see him because I'm too scared to tell him how I really feel. This is my confession.

If I spoke my mind about my opinions towards LBQT, race based scholarship, and/or other current issues, I would get absolutely slammed and shut down by the vast majority of the student body at GFU. I'm white, straight and conservative, and I'll say sorry when bad things happen, but something is not right, on BOTH sides.
