I like listening to Jimmy Buffett, and I enjoy the sun at the beach. This is my motivation for someday being wealthy enough to sit at a beach and enjoy the sun and just play my guitar. Also the reason I'm doing the college thing.

I'm really tired of people saying that others are shallow for their standards of beauty. Yes, everyone has the potential for beauty because it is what on the inside that matters most, and yes there are many different ways to be physically beautiful. However, there is a certain standard of beauty on this country and gosh dang it isn't without good reason. Guys are not shallow for thinking playboy girls and Victoria's Secret models are beautiful! They are drop dead gorgeous for goodness sakes. Someone would have to be blind to not find those types of women attractive. Would everyone please shut up about those who think hot women are hot being shallow and pigs? They are just human. And by the way I am a girl, who finds sexy men with abs sexy.

Okay guys, here is something that could potentially be controversial but I am not intending it to be. I must confess that I have very little respect for the RES life staff. Out of the few years I have been at George Fox I have only experienced (or heard of) 6-7 RA's that genuinely cared about their residents and the rest seemed to really only care about what they got out of it. There slogan "Life is our job" or something like that is something that very few ever really get, unfortunately. To me, the RA's slogan is more like "We are the elite" because the majority act that they are a part some sort of elitist group. One of the core values that RA's supposedly need to have at George Fox is a Christ like attitude and a level of maturity that is generally greater than that of the average student..... well again I repeat only a few out the many really have this and it is troubling. I am concerned because I believe that even though the intentions of the leaders of RES life staff (AC's) may be good their RA's could be doing more harm than they can see. Not saying this is true for everyone... just a trend I have noticed that troubles me. I hope next years will be better, but I have my doubts based on the track record of AC's selecting RA's. I hope to be proved wrong, though.

It's nights like these, when my depression is really bad, that I really realize how alone I am. I have no one to turn to. It's 3 am. It's taking all my strength to not run to the bathroom and either throw up everything I ate today or cut myself. My family is crap. I have friends who say they care, but I feel like I either annoy them or burden them. I hate it. I wonder a lot how many people would miss me if I was gone. It hurts knowing the number isn't high. I don't know what I need. I know despite all the encouraging comments this might get, I don't have to guts to reach out to any of you. I'm too ashamed for how I feel and how I make others feel. I just bring people down, but I wish I didn't. It freaking sucks being so alone and being this depressed. And nobody who actually knows me cares.

All my friends are on juniors abroad standing where Jesus stood, getting real kimchi, tubbing at the blue lagoon... I'm just here like "Hope it doesn't rain at Newberg tmr."
