Tonight I comforted yet another of my friends who has been lead to believe something I too once did. That is, as a woman, once we lose our virginity (out of wedlock) we are "damaged goods". I remember once hearing someone talk about it, saying that it was like going on your honeymoon and having garbage pilled in your hotel room. Your husband would be devastated, and possibly lose desire for you. My friend was convinced that because she had slept with her ex-boyfriend when they were dating that no good man would love her in the future. Fellow ladies, I am going to tell you the same thing I just told her: That's not true. Whether or not you refrain from having pre-material sex or not is your own choice, and it does not define your worth by any means nor who you are as a person. Your future husband will love you no matter if you are a virgin or not. Going through a rough time in my past, I slept around a lot. Does that change in any way how much my boyfriend loves me? Not at all. Ladies, you are worth SO much more than your "purity". I felt like this all needed to be said. (This can also be said for you too gents, but I felt like this pressure is more put on woman. So forgive me that I aimed it that way!)
