Why is it so hard to tell if a girl is single? It is hard for me to ask them out because I am always afraid that they already taken. Why must this be so embarrassing?

I graduated last year and am working in the area. I am continuing to take full advantage of pancake nights...quesadilla nights...s'mores nights...really any free food on campus. So really I'd just like to thank mostly the freshman dorm halls you guys really know how to cook!

I feel like any opinions that disagree with homosexuality, no matter how it is put (gently or harshly), is constantly viewed as bigotry or judgment. What's the point of having "opinions" if mine can't disagree with yours? There are holes in both of our point-of-views, so why can't we just listen to each other, present our case in peace, and let the others decide whether or not to keep/change/expand their POV?
If one considers it a sin, and any blemishes is the same in God's eyes; then yes, homosexuality is just as bad as adultery, murder, or stealing so it shouldn't be treated worse than other sins.
No, the Bible does not EXPLICITElY say that marriage HAS to be between a man and a woman. However, the arguments one make when one says "but the Bible doesn't explicitly say" is quite irrelevant. The Bible was written ages ago and Ancient Hebrews didn't have words like "tattoos", "abortion" or other modern terms, so a lot of time it is inferred. The reasons for people believing that homosexuality and gay marriages are not God's original intent for us is because of verses like 1 Cor. 6:9-10 and Romans 1:27.
And most of all, using the argument of God of love is so illogical. Your parents can love you unconditionally, but that doesn't mean they have to agree with everything you do. God does not stop loving you just because you chose to follow your sinful nature. Same goes for other people, people can love and care for you, and not have to agree with every words you say. Isn't that the definition of bigotry anyways? Calling people haters for disagreeing with your beliefs, disregarding how they expressed their opinion? After all, the standards of love should be a two-way street, isn't it?

I really wish I could be happy for my friends who are in relationships, but I can't.

So has anyone ever gotten that feeling where you are in a serious setting and you start thinking about doing something completely inappropriate, and then you are afraid that if you keep thinking about it hard enough you might actually do it? That happened to me this morning in chapel.I almost stood up and let out a blood curdling scream... I scare myself sometimes.

Confession: I don't condemn those who have an attraction for the same sex, and I am a strong life-long Christian.
God is omnipotent, of course he knew "his plan" and yes he is a loving God, people that have attraction toward the same sex aren't going to be condemned for it. Sure we may be initially made to operate a certain way, but people are people and everyone is different. God sent his son to forgive all sins, so if you feel that this is a sin (many do many don't) then nevertheless it is forgiven and God loves all the little children of the world.
