This might seem like more of a rant than a confession, I suppose, but gosh, sometimes it's pretty darn frustrating to be an introvert. As an introvert, I love hanging out with extraverts because I don't have to do all the talking! However, if the situation calls (if I'm among other introverts, for example), I am capable of leading a conversation, but honestly, I kind of hate doing so. Because my "outgoing" self is notably flamboyant, people often end up mistaking me for an extravert, and this frustrates me. I mean, it's not that I'm frustrated at the people themselves. I'm more frustrated at society, I guess. The misunderstandings and stereotypes (pinned onto both introverts and extraverts alike) cause me so many problems (and I'm sure I'm not alone in this). For example, if I'm ever sitting alone, I'm often asked if something is wrong, or if I don't talk to someone in a while, I'm asked if I think they did something wrong. In my head, I want to shout to the high heavens in a satirically over-dramatized rage, "If you think I hate you, I probably don't!"

[Clarification (because I'm afraid of accidentally incurring the rage of everyone and their moms): This is not to say introverts have it worse than extraverts or anything like that. Both functions have their own attached stereotypes, but obviously, as an introvert, I can only speak as such. That is all.]

Yes, I know I messed up big time. I made a huge horrible mistake. After I finished, I said to her "Hey, I'm sorry, I can't believe I just did that." Next day I apologized to her again and told her I am going to respect her. I kick myself almost everyday for what I did and the mess that created but no matter my thoughts, or my prayers or anything I say that will never change the past. To the people calling for my head, I'm sorry but that would be senseless. That would do nothing to help me or make me a better person. Both of us have very troubled and abusive childhoods that we never confronted or talked about. Now we are getting counseling and sorting out past issues and how that affects us now and recent mistakes. Even before I found out everything I accepted Jesus as my lord and savior. I started to attend church on a weekly basis.

What she did still hurts me because as I said earlier I opened up a lot to her. And I was still open and vulnerable when I found out. That hit me really hard because that day, something everyone likes to cherish and celebrate was something that I always wanted to forget and ignore. It was a day that didn't exist and I always wanted to forget. She was the first that encouraged me to think positive and try to be happy and celebrate. Dealing with my mistake and her actions that day brought me back to my childhood and all the memories of abuse and torment. There were things that I remembered before and then there were things I didn't want to remember like my parent threatening me with a knife one day or throwing me out of the house in mid of winter and telling me to never come back. You guys want to talk about contacting the authorities?! What am I supposed to do when I remembered on that day or close to it being forced into a bathtub filled with water and just pleading for my life over and over until my mother let me go. How am I supposed to look at her now. I didn't ask to be made into the person who made that mistake that day; I didn't choose my parents or my upbringing. I know I hurt my girl terribly and I can never know her pain but I can't go back and change everything. I can however be a better person tomorrow, a better man for her and that's what I am doing now.

Truck crushing! As a country girl, I have standards for men...one of them is for the guy to have a truck! Lucky me I live in Macy. I see the sexiest country boy on campus every day, and get to check out his big black jacked up truck every morning. Totally crushing on him and his truck....now to get over being to shy to talk to him... :-( #love
