On one of my bookmarks (that sadly got torn up) holds basically the story of my spiritually life so to speak: (Paraphrasing: One night a woman had a dream. She dreamed that she was walking along the shore of the beach with Jesus. In the sky, there flashed before her events from her life and in every event, she would look down and see two pairs of footprints: one belonging to her and the other belonging to Jesus. However, when the last scene of her life flashed, she noticed only one pair of footprints. She also noticed that this happened during the darkest and saddest times of her life. This troubled the woman and she questioned Jesus about it. "Jesus," she said, "When I promised to follow You, You said that You would be with me always. But now I see that there is only one pair of footprints here. I just don't understand why You would leave me at the times I needed You most." Jesus said to her, "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you in your trials and suffering. When you saw only one pair of footprints, it was then that I carried you." This is just so beautiful and so true. Just thought I'd share this with anyone who needed some encouragement. God bless!

Whenever I see some random balding man with a big, whitish-gray beard, I instantly think it's Jerry Lee Nelson back from the dead.

I'm a GFU allum and I majored in Philosophy and Biblical Studies. I confess that I held Socrates above Jesus because I was drunk on my own intellectualism. Nothing Socrates ever wrote will last forever. "Heaven and Earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away" - Jesus (Luke 21:33 KJV).
Whether you are a Phil major or a Biology major or whatever, repent of the pride of intellectualism. To God, you know nothing.
"Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. For it is written, [...] "The LORD knows the reasonings of the wise, that they are USELESS." So then let no one boast in [philosophers]. For all things belong to you, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or things present or things to come ... " (1 Cor 3:18-22 NASB)

I confess i have a great dislike for "Nothing but the blood of Jesus" that they played at chapel...
I don't like having Jesus turned into Earths Magical Unicorn...
I don't like having Jesus' Blood necessary for life.
I don't like that Christians care more about his unicorn attributes instead of what he taught.
I wonder what would have happened if Jesus wasn't killed, would Christians eventually killed Jesus anyways so that they can have his blood?
Its as if humans are voldemorte, drinking the unicorn's blood so that we can live for eternity.
Jesus isn't a unicorn, he's a human just like you and me... His death wasn't necessary, his words were.

My bed is incredibly noisy and it makes having sex here kinda awkward and probably obvious. At one point my boyfriend sorta laughed and said: "We could use your [roommate's] bed?" (who was gone for the weekend). He might have been joking, but I sincerely considered it.
(We didn't. Don't worry.)

I thought you were my friend. I thought you cared. I don't know now if I risk putting forth more energy into this friendship or continue to wait and hope you do. I just wish you cared about me as much as I do you. I don't know what to do. Losing you means I'm alone at this school. I have no real friends. Anyone else have any advice?
