I met this guy and he really likes me but now that I know more about him, I don't know how to nicely break it to him that I am not interested anymore...I don't want to be mean but he is not only moving too fast but he is obsessive as well.

I know presentation skills are good to have, but the lack of understanding for those with anxiety is irritating. I lost a bunch of points on a presentation I did because I couldn't stand still. I swayed a bit. You know what? I'm sorry I have freaking GAD and my body literally is incapable of standing still. I can't even sit still. Watch me in class. I've tried. I still try. I try constantly to combat the amount of anxiety my body has 24/7, not to mention when I have to publicly speak and almost have panic attacks. People expect me to get over it, but guess freaking what- I bet if I put them in my body for even an hour they'd be a lot more understanding.
For a long time, I didn't know what was wrong with me. I had no idea there was name to what I felt all the time, 24/7. I had no idea my odd "habits" were actually OCD. For a very long time too, I couldn't tell my depression from my anxiety. I had no idea how to name and talk about how depression and anxiety are often best friends, and feed off each other and make life pretty difficult. In fact, I always just thought I was "worrier" who was depressed. I've been seeing some help and come a long way. I still have a long way to go. Even though it has helped me some to be able to name aloud what is wrong, still the lack of understanding by some professors for mental illness can make school an awful hard place sometimes. I don't mean to complain. I don't even really mention this to professors. But I wish I could honestly and openly tell them. I feel like I can't without it being considered whining or making excuses. It all just sucks. I suppose I should have told the professor I can't stand still, but how do I do that? People can be really insensitive. It doesn't help that people throw around the wording as if it's nothing and use it as excuses when nothing is actually wrong with them. It's normal to get anxious sometimes, but for people like myself who actually /really/ struggle every day with an absurd amount of anxiety, it's not normal or an excuse, and it's really hard. Anxiety in a person with GAD is vastly different than the anxiety that is normal. I just really wish there was less a stigma and more understanding. I wish I could talk openly and honesty about it to my professors without feeling judged.

Sometimes when I'm studying for finals, I like to cover myself in honey and escape into the forest, letting animals feast off of the sweet nectar, becoming one with nature.
