I love shows like Game of Thrones and Black Sails, but I hate how raunchy they are! Can't we have an epic story without all the nudity? Yeesh

I don't go to GFU but for whatever reason I really want to go here (even though I don't identify as a Christian) after I go to PCC (if I do) and even though I know like no one there I really want to be friends with people here.

I have an incredibly limited diet, mostly of junk food... And the idea of trying new foods TERRIFIES me. I went to counseling for it but it still feels so hopeless sometimes. I want to eat healthy and socially and not feel awkward or make other people feel awkward; I don't want to be faced with constant questions about my diet, or have to be faced with judgmental jerks who just think it's "stubbornness" or "picky-eating" when it's so much more than that.
Having a near panic attack whenever I try new foods just doesn't seem worth it anymore... but the alternative might be dying young because of my crappy diet. And I don't know how to fix it.

With all the visitors here for the scholarship competitions filling up classes and overflowing out of the Bon, I've had to suppress the urge to yell: "GO AWAY! Don't come to George Fox! We're already way too full and the campus cannot support all of us, much less the rest of you. Go find some other school that's actually considering how many students they have to accommodate." But I held it in and simmered quietly instead

I am notorious for purchasing morbidly unhealthy snack foods at Walgreens, but will usually try to balance it out with some nutritious stuff like string cheese or almonds. :P

I just bought my first real pair of vans. That's the most I've spent on an article of clothing since my prom dress. Sticker shock, though!

Coming to Fox has been a great thing for me in many ways. However there have been some offensive issues that I have had to deal with, that I never really dealt with before. One of those things is racial discrimination. I never knew that being Arabic on a Christian campus would be something that would make me feel uncomfortable at times. I can not even count how many times I have been asked by students and professors, "Wow you're Arabic.. why did you come to a Christian college!" Assuming that all Arabs are muslims and all Muslims are Arabic is such an uneducated statement to say. I don't want to feel like I have to defend my culture everytime someone asks me where I am from. Reading the post that someone posted earlier made me upset as well. It's inappropriate to assume that every Muslim is a terrorist. It's not right. I just think that it's sad how it seems normal and alright for people to hold harsh stereotypes about an entire culture. It's not funny calling me a terrorist as a joke, or laughing about how my family gets stopped at airports. I am in no way trying complain or talk down about anyone in particular, but I do think that people should think before they judge. So what if I am Arabic? So what if some people practice Islam? Loving people equally should be a priority- especially on a Christian college campus.
