I think we need to have an event set up just for people to make new friends

I really want a friend that doesn't live in my dorm. I hate having to stay in the same place all the time just to talk to people. I want to be able to go to other people's rooms instead of everyone coming to mine... That, or make friends who like to go out for coffee and stay there to drink it instead of coming back to where we stay all the freaking time!

Sometimes I get really frustrated when I watch the videos Fox posts. The campus looks so beautiful and the student life seems almost magical. If I was a highschooler and saw those videos, I'd think to myself, "now that is a school I can see myself at. That is a school I want to belong to." Now, I've spent the last three years attending Fox and I feel like it's nothing like what's shown in the promotional videos. Of course it's a good school. I know that. But I feel like the actual student life is a lot different than it's shown. Freshman year, I tried really hard to get to know the other girls on my floor. But because I'd rather work on my loads of homework instead of sitting around in a weekly prayer group, I wasn't of any value to them. I've honestly put great effort into making connections with professors. Mine always seem too busy or too disconnected to reciprocate. Whenever I walk through campus by myself, I feel embarrassed because everyone else has a friend with them. I know that I'm an outcast, and it only bothers me a little, but I feel like there's enough other people in my shoes that feel the same. I wish Fox put more effort into nourishing their current student body instead of luring the next.

Chapel was on fire today! I loved Romal I wish he could speak at every chapel. I also loved the spanish worship I hope this years chapel continues to do this

To the person who assumed I don't go to dances or that I don't socialize enough based on my post about the chaperones, you are wrong. I've been to almost every single dance that Fox has had for the past 3 years and I am good friends with a lot of my professors, I just felt like with this dance in particular the chaperones were there to babysit us but if that's not what they were doing then I guess my feelings were wrong. But I felt like their presence was more noticed than in the past. There was one prof in particular that made me feel like they were only there to baby sit us and make sure we were "leaving room for Jesus" so to speak and that bothered me because I get tired of Fox not treating us like adults. Sorry if I offended anyone with my previous post, I really have no idea how I could have done that just by questioning the presence of chaperones but I guess that's what happens when you do things anonymously

Okay Fox, we're supposed to be about christian love right? So why are people judging other people? (I'm going to swear soon and some of you guys are going to be completely turned off) Or posting stupid over shit about some little thing that wasnt' perfect and going wrong in your life? Okay, granted, I'm not acting super "Christ-like" right now. But if Jesus was here, I don't think he'd be backing you up, saying thing like "Yah, people who aren't perfect Christian's sure are messed up".

The community I have experienced at Fox is very one sided, and it feels like it expects people to behave in a certain way. But I'm sorry, I am a person. And maybe my shit is different than yours, or my "sin" is different than your "sin". But what gives you the right to tell me so? What makes your sin better?
