Any transfer students here from UW- La Crosse? Missing LAX right now. UWEC has its advantages, but maybe I made the wrong decision to transfer here...

I'm taken, I live off campus, I have a chid, i dress nice every day because i have standards, i smile at everybody. I would make a good friend to anyone but it seems like all of you judge about style, guys just want the v, girls just want the d. Nobody wants to make friends outside the dorms. Etc.

I confess that I was DISGUSTED after reading this.

"University of Wisconsin System financial officials say the system's reserves approached a billion dollars at the end of June. David Miller, senior vice president of system administration and fiscal affairs, told the Board of Regents' business and finance committee and the system's audit committee during a joint meeting Friday that the system's campuses' total reserves stood at about $949 million. About $551.5 million of that was surplus tuition."

If you don't want to read all that, I'll summarize: there is a surplus in the UW system of $949 MILLION and $551.5 MILLION DOLLARS of that is surplus tuition.

Sure there is a tuition freeze in place for two years, but something else needs to be done! What can we do so our voice is heard? This is not right!
