Reading all these comments about people thinking that the compliments given out during homecoming are fake and only given to get a vote makes me really sad. For me personally, I am somebody who is out there campaigning every day, and while I cannot vouch for anybody else but myself (though the majority of people I know feel the same way as I do), I know that I mean every single compliment I give. Every day when i walk around campus I compliment people in my head, I just don't feel comfortable enough to go up to a stranger and say it to their face. Homecoming is the one excuse I have to be able to compliment anybody I want to and not feel awkward. So just know, if you receive a compliment, chances are people mean it! I know I do!

I know my roommate is probably fed up with me, but I am telling you now... you have no idea what I am capable of and who I am. Stop judging. You have no idea what I have been through.
