I'm a non-heterosexual girl living in Oakridge and I have to say that it's the worst. Living in an all female residence hall, you'd think I would love it but I really fucking sucks. Ever since I moved in I haven't received anything but hostility and dirty looks from not only my hall-mates but the RAs as well. All the flyers posted around the hall about the importance of feminism and fighting against oppression aren't making the difference the staff is supposedly looking for. I shouldn't have to feel so uncomfortable, anxious or afraid in my own living space.
