Ah. That time of college when everything starts feeling like high school again. Friends become assholes. The buildings and classes acquire a dull monotony. The judgmental and the willfully uninformed come out of the woodwork to destroy the hope you had for people being more mature at this stage in their lives and educations.

I very much hope that the rest of my life isn't just a series of stages leading up to that dreadful feeling that I'm back in the world of high school drama, deceit, and immature idiots. I have a sinking feeling that it might.

I'm studying abroad this semester... yesterday I took a combie(transportation) to a place that is 20 minutes away, it took me an hour. My friend was hanging out in the dorms minding his own business, the cops came, took him to the station and then let him go for $20 and a bag of left over wine. Daily tasks take twice as long or even longer to do and there's nothing you can do to change it. I have gotten yelled at by security for not being in bed by midnight... there are many things here that irritate me, but I can't change them. I'm not trying to say my life is harder but what I'm trying to point out is that there are bigger things to be upset about than an icy sidewalk. I came into my study abroad experience expecting to be faced with challenges and I'm dealing with them... Everyone at Eau Claire lives in Wisconsin, expect snow, expect ice, and don't expect that everything should be taken care of for you all the time. Life gets a lot harder than dealing with slippery sidewalks...Hopefully some of you realize that.
